What kind of tree is this and could any part of it make my dogs sick if they eat it?

No idea, most of us on this site are from the UK and I don't recognise the tree at all. Could you take a photo of the whole thing please. Presumably if it is a tree the dogs(s) won't be able to get the the fruits - is it fruiting now?

Campsis radicans, in bud rather than in fruit, would be my guess.
Can't say about the dog though.

If it is Campsis radicand then yes poisonous to dogs and humans.

I don't know much but a lot of berries or fruits can be distasteful and reds a danger colour .
