I have lots of yellow Welsh wild poppies in my garden and occasionally a few orange ones. Are the orange poppies a different species or a variation of the yellow ones affected by soil condition or something? I would like to encourage more orange ones if possible. Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

its just a natural colour variant. like our blond/brunette thing. let the orange one seeds and dead head the yellow ones. in a few yrs you'll be after the yellows :o)
