my hedge the leaves are being eaten and dying by small grubs how can i control or kill them

What type of plant is the hedge made of? Hawthorn has a sawfly that munches it. Viburnum has a leaf eater that makes holes. I expect there are various others too. You can spray with a systemic insecticide (this goes into the leaves so you don't need to 'touch' every grub with it. Unfortunately a lot of these grubs can have 2 or 3 generations per year so they may come back.
