yes I agree one line of carrots one line of onions or use fleece to cover them

We plant our carrots between two rows of onions. Try to do any work of weeding or thinning on a windy day too. Fleece works in large areas but it you are growing just a row or two I've found all it does is encourage the weeds to grow faster.
