We laid new turf last year and all was well, however It looks threadbare and very patchy. Ive tried feeding, treating and even grass seed but nothing seems to be working. Please any advice

You are doing all the right things Heatherbell. The grass seed will take a while and feeding can be slow. It has been very dry recently and grass is just lots of small plants, so water it too. I'm in Glasgow and if it had not rained today I would have had to water my lawn.
