Why might the flower heads of my astratia (ruby/claret flowers with dark green leaves) be drooping. I gave water at the first signs of drooping but made no difference

Answers

 

Something may have nibbled the roots or slugs may have chewed on the sides of the stems, low down.. Or sometimes plant droop during frosty weather as well as during hot weather.
