When is the best time to prune a laurel hedge?
Some of the leaves of my laurel hedge have a silver deposit on them which causes them to curl up. It seems to affect the young leaves. What can I do about it?

Do you mean mildew? If so, spray with a fungicide, although you might want to wait until you've cut it back - you can do that now.
