I have a roof terrace and wish to cover the fence at the back with climbers : Grows on You

I have a roof terrace and wish to cover the fence at the back with climbers (the area is approx. 15ft long x 6ft high) It is a very sunny area and I'll need the plants to be happily sitting in a container. I would like greenery all year if possible and lots of colour and flowers during April - September. Someone mentioned Jasmin but I wasn't sure if that died after a while. Could you give me some idea of what plants to look at as I haven't a clue! Many thanks
