I have the palm, pictured in my garden. A couple of questions, 1 What type is it and 2 what are the pods that have appeared? They appeared last year and I cut them off, they are ugly! but don't want to cut them off again until I know more about them.

I suspect they are the flower bds that you have chopped off. no idea what it is though.
