I have just realized I have laid out and planted my veg patch under a laburnum tree will I be able to eat the veg without the risk of poisoning?

Hi Steve and welcome to GoY growing your veg. under the laburnum will not cause a health risk. However, veg. need a good deal of sunlight to grow and ripen which is unlikely in the shad of a tree. Which veg. did you actually plant?

yes of course you can. The seeds of the laburnum are poison if you eat them, so dont eat them :o))

welcome to GoY too

Thankyou for your information, I have picked about the only spot I have for the veg, I'm hoping they get enough sun, time will tell, I have only had the garden since last July and still don't know what's in it, so will probably use this site for some more answers. Once again thank you
