I have a Dicksonia Fern.It has orange gunge in the top which smells of TCP antiseptic. Currently no leaves and no new fronds. Is this natural? If not what can be done?? Thanks!! Hester

Clean the gunge out, pour sugary water into the top and spray onto the trunk. This might, or might not, get it to grow, otherwise it hasn't made it through the winter.
