when do you prune

usually after flowering,but check on website ATHELAS PLANTS they deal in callistemons and proteas.
I tend to grow Grevilleas,

No pruning is necessary except to keep the plant under control if it gets too large.

I have a friend here at the moment from Australia who has told me to prune mine after flowering , which I shall do as they are getting quite large
