Back in the Czech Republic - and to gardening - after six months to find most of the things I asked about last year survived, though not all.
However not a plant related question this time, just one that reveals my technical incompetence. I have returned armed with a lovely flat hose that winds onto a reel but I am blowed if I can work out which end one connects to the tap. Does the casing just suspend from the tap? Help please.......

Ok, sorted. I didn't realise I had to take the whole thing off the spool....
