Sounds like lemon balm. It's the same family as mint. It's lovely to make tea from.

or it could be 'lemon mint'. there are many different ones that have fruity fragrances. pineapple and apple mint spring to mind too. A photo would help.

Lemon balm has slichtly curved leaves and they have very distinquished vein runs it like mint has ideas of world domination though!

Cindy...a trick to ID mint (not type, just that it IS mint).....mint always has square stems...roll them in your fingers and you will nitce the angles as you do it!
