My Chamaerop has brown spots and the leaves including the new shoots have mostly gone brown , I have cut all of the leaves off and left the trunks do you think I should dig it up it may be diseased any information is appreciated Thank You

If it was outside all winter, that may have killed it - they're frost sensitive. What's important is whether the growing tip has been killed off, so I'd wait a while and see if any new growth occurs at the top of the plant.
