north and east facing walls
Asked on 29 Jun, 2008
I'm looking for advice on what to plant in hanging baskets for year-round interest on a north facing wall, and for a yellow climbing rose on an east facing wall.
with thanks,
Gilly

You could plant variegated Ivies in a hanging basket - there are lots of different leaf shapes. They would do well. Add Impatiens in the summer.

Rosa 'Leverkusen' would be suitable - gets to about ten feet. Good flush of flowers about now and some more later in the year too
