If you can find them, mesembryanthemums are lovely in a sunny spot - they are not hardy though and will only last one year

Many plants like full sun - look at the Mediterranean types, the ones with silvery leaves like Lavenders, Rosemary, Conulvulus cneorum and Cistus. Helianthemum, as well.
