Can I use my retained from last autumn weed and feed lawn product in the spring too?

I did this last year and it seemed OK. I checked for date and use and made sure the lawn was not too short, that it was damp,and that rain was likely soon after application. All seemed well afterwards. This year I will have to buy a fresh lot.
