I have a courtyard garden, today is the first day i have managed to start tidying since moving in Janauary, yet everything looks dead! there is no colour, and the only thing that seems to be growing is ivy. Any suggestions for a low maintenance colour with lots of vibrance? there is also very little sunlight!

heuchera are lovely and there are hundreds of different ones in some lovely vibrent colours, very tough plants and give you colour all year, also hostas are nice and also come in different shades, ferns are lovers of shade to and have beautifull leaves, aqualigea also love shade and come in lots of colours, the list is endless, also astilbe is beautifull in different colours, tallish stems of feathery flowers, dies back in winter but loves shade
