I have a chunk of large rocks and am about to make a small rockery - Any good suggestion will be most welcome

Answers
Leave crevices as planting holes - and try to use plants that don't need a lot of water. Go and look at alpine plants, there are lots of them.

Start with you're biggest rocks at the base and work up using progressively smaller rocks!
