when and how is the best time to prune a cytisus pinepapple bloom tree? What is the best fertiliser to put in the soil?I have one which in the summer time gets eaten by slugs and no matter how much slug pellets i put down they still manage to distroy it.

This should be pruned after flowering. Just shorten back any overlong shoots, or take out one or two old stems. A shame about the slugs! Remember that slug pellets actually attract slugs! So use them sparingly. Or try a copper ring.
