You don't say which veg seedlings but this could be crucial. Most brassicas can be potted on carefully, but I'd avoid all root crops like carrots, parsnips and so on as they don't transplant well as you damage the tap root. Which vegetable plants did you have in mind, as things like tomatoes should be potted on before the roots become congested as with most of the tender annual vegetables.
