hi i brougt some canna bulbs in the photo which i will plant in a pot on the patio when the frost has gone but do i plant them now to keep in the shed or the house or what can i do i have never grown them before thanks

I would certainly pot them up now and keep them in the shed/greenhouse. put them outside when there is no danger of frost so late May onwards.
