Why are the buds on my camellia going brown and starting to fall off. It is in a pot with ericaceous compost and we have tried it in various locations in the garden over the last 4 years?

Usual cause for this is early morning sun hitting frosted buds before they've defrosted, if you see what I mean. Its the reason they shouldn't be planted in an unshaded east facing position.
