why are the new leaves brown?
brought last year for £30 at B&Q, 5 year old plant
thought it was dying this winter as all leaves turned brown they were all removed!

Since you are dealing with a transplanted palm, you might try this site http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/EP001. Lots of factors involved in a successful transplant - you may have to be patient with this one. Good Luck!
