Allotment paths.
Hi all, I am looking for a cheap solution to a big problem I am having.
I need to cover my allotment paths with something to prevent the weeds coming through. As it's quite a large area I can't afford to go mad, any suggestions please?

Also bark chippings are expensive, and rot down in
3 years. Plastic is also slippery in icy weather. You have to remember if there is no one about on the field, and you fall and break a leg, there is no one to call to for help.
I always left the perimeter gate unlocked if it was
dangerous when I went to feed the birds.
