care tips for salvia nemorosa blue hill

This question is on Salvia nemorosa
It has been a week since I planted Salvia Nemorosa 'blue hill'. before planting, to the existing soil I added a soil mix, applied transplanting fertilzer called mycoriz. after planting i applied perennial flower food. Did I do the right thing?

Sounds as if you have been VERY kind - I just dig a hole, water the plant, pop it in and backfill with a compost/home-made compost mix with a few chicken manure pellets in it. Then I water it again. I have a number of S.nemorosa - my favourite plant - and they all thrive with this method of planting! I am sure yours will be fine... :-)
