Neighbour's cauli's have all bolted in the heat...

Oh Gosh.. mine have very big tall leaves... don't know if they suppose to be so big.. not grown them before so how will I know if they have bolted.

Hi snoopdog I did prepare the ground well with plenty compost ... but wondering now if they have bolted with moongrower saying about her neighbours.

If you can see a scruffy flower growth then they have bolted.

If you've got cauliflowers growing really well, then be pleased. When they bolt, as MG says, it's obvious, the 'curd', which is the 'flower', elongates and turns into a tall messy stalk.
