have a lovely large yew tree in my garden that's been there for 15yrs, almost overnight the tiny leaves are going yellow please can you tell me what might be wrong?

The old leaves will fall now, anyway. It's that time of year for evergreens. If the new growth/tips are green, then I think your tree is fine. Check where the leaf fall is from.

many thanks for your advice, don't know why this is the first time noticed yellow leaves on tree, it does have lots of new growth so must be happy after all. would hate to loose it its been there since I got the green finger bug!
