Hi Nannyann, I've never used 1 of these, I just make my own compost heap, keep turning it, and water if I think it's too dry, and I keep mine covered with an old tarpaulin to keep the heat in, some people just leave them open to the elements, but I prefer to cover mine, it takes between 12 and 18 months depending on what's in it to rot down, but once you get started, just start a new 1 every year and you've always got compost, much easier I think than a container, Derek.

Thanks Derek I have two compost bins that make lovely compost but they take up such a lot of room in my very small garden and I wanted to use all of the stuff that i usually put in the waste bin for the council to take away.and I am told that the hot bins are a lot faster than the ordinary bins I also make compost for my daughter.

How do I say thanks?
