i have a bottlebrush it is about three years old and i want
dig it up and replant it some where else in the garden
can you please tell me when is the best time to move
it to a new place we live in east sussex hastings on the
south coast

I moved 3 plants a couple of weeks ago and they were younger plants than yours. I dug a hole, filled it with organic matter and a mixture of grit for drainage. Be aware the leaves will droop quite a lot and for quite a while, but mine have recovered well. I will have to see how they make it through the Winter.
