I would say acidic, rich soil. I grow them in very slightly acidic clay soil and they do well. Full sun is more important for fruit.

I believe they like it on the acid side. ph is a bit too hi tech for me. I tend to chuck on iron now and again in the places where the leaves look a bit yellow. I have wonderful raspberries. Tullameen.
