I got a slip from a plant that had a name marker, it said Japanese Evergreen but I cannot find anything under that name

Chinese Evergreen is Aglaonema commutatum

does look very much like a maranta, although not the most common variety - but there are many different ones as i remeber from plant idents back in floristry college.
