Does anyone know what this is called

By Dee11

Ontario, Canada, Canada Ca

Also any details on whether it's grown from seed, tuber etc.

This looks like Rudbeckia too but the leaves aren't consistent with them, they look too round.

I wonder what others think ?

I think at this time of year its a Rudbeckia fulgida suffering from draught and if it is, this perennial plant is hardy, likes most soils, and sun or shade needs water.
I too thought ligularia perhaps greynog? but thats an early flowerer?

It's Ligularia Dentata - maybe 'Desdemona#.
