Why are some of our bizzie lizzies a disaster?

Ours grew well & flowered beatifully & suddenly leaves started falling off & all we're left with is skeltons. No sign of any bugs etc. The plants came from B&Q.
Earlier we'd bought others - they're in a different part of the garden & in wall boxes and are fine.

The same happened to mine .I bought mine from tescos out of the thirty planted most have grown well but one window box survived but the other one didnt like you I couldnt see any bugs .It was the bonny lilac ones that seemed to go first

Impatiens Downy Mildew.

Its a new ish thing that we were made aware of by suppliers at the nursery where i work.
Not much you can do just bin or burn infected plants. May not be able to grow them in sme spot next year.
Just keep them away from healthy ones.

This happened last year with all the damp weather we had. It was the most frequently asked question of the year, I think!

It appears that Busy Lizzies are being affected again this year - at least in the areas of the country where we have not seen much of the sun!
