We bought rhizomes of ginger lily and they are potted. Could some body tell us how long they take to grow and come through

Hi Anne thanks for the info about the ginger plant HEY presto; it has come through , and i also have it on a south facing wall, many thanks.

I got a cutting of a red button ginger. After potting up, about a month ago, it now shows new growth around 2 cm above ground. It's inside, at a southern facing window.
