when to prune a snowball tree? viburnum alba (I believe)

I moved into my house three years ago in the September and in the June before we moved in the snowball tree was covered in flowers. I pruned the tree, cant remember when and since then, the crop of flowers has been poor. Can any kind soul please advise me when to prune in order for this lovely shrub to display many flowers next year

Welcome to GOY. It often pays to thin out larger branches rather than prune small tips. You should do this in the winter time. Keep a balance of the tree by taking out about 3 branches.
