Can you identify this plant/flower

It was grown from seed and this is the first time it has flowered (after about 4 years)
It could be Australian or Greek. I tend to pick up seeds on my hols

Could it be some type of bottle brush plant?

I think it is a Callistemon. The inferior ovary at the back of the flower looks about right.

a pic when those flowers open up a bit more would be good, plus a shot of the whole plant to see growth habit. Can't see the leaves properly either, but am currently thinking maybe some kind of Metrosideros
