Planting in shade to part shade

This question is on Hardy Azalea Double Crimson
Just bought a Hardy Azalea Double Crimson, they salesperson told me it will be fine in a shady with very little sun area is this true?

Hi Trouble! Azaleas originate from woodland floors, so yes, they are tolerant of a certain amount of shade. However, dappled shade (such as under other trees) is best - I doubt it would thrive in heavey shade.
