‘Red Cordyline’

‘Red Cordyline’ (Cordyline australis (New Zealand cabbage palm))

Purchased last weekend at the supermarket. Didn’t have much info on the label. It did however say, height 1.2 m, spread 1m.
I haven’t planted it out yet, due to the recent cold weather.
I think I may plant it in the little bed near the house...maybe. ( not many options/space..)

Thank you, Paul. Yes that would be a good idea, if you don’t mind!

That’s a lovely architectural plant. They’re listed as borderline hardy but we found that ours survived the winter, so I hope yours thrives (in a fairly sheltered spot perhaps?). It makes a great statement 🙂.

Kate I have mine in a large pot in the front garden. I give it a feed now and again with general fertiliser that I do all the plants with. It does have a bit of shade in the afternoon. I cut off any spikes going yellow. I shall have to divide and repot my plant soon as it's outgrowing it's pot. It should do well for you.
