Yorkshire, Paul and Vince, its now had a good mulch round its roots, so lets hope that frost doesn`t get it.

Good luck with that, as with all plants out there. I think I am resigned to losing quite a few. (snow for the last week and -8)

we have had the strawberry tree for a long time now and i started shaping it gradually into a standard and over the years have cut it into a ball shape ,so while yours is young you can trim it how you like.It looks really healthy.

Thanks Rose, shall try to keep it quite a natural shape pruning it lightly. I bought it because of its beautiful bark.
