The garden is stunning in the spring - lots of azaleas and conifers, and the new growth of acers. It's probably the best time of the year since we have to work at getting colour in some parts of the garden during the summer. This we do by putting out begonias in black plastic pots hidden amoungst the shrubs and acers. We also have a number of earthenware pots on the paved areas into which we put plastic pots of similar size. In the winter these contain bulbs and they can be quickly changed in the summer with pots of annuals.
