Monarch butterfly ovipositinig
A female Monarch butterfly laying an egg on a Common Milkweed leaf. You can tell that she's ovipositing because she's hanging on to the edge of the leaf and her abdomen is touching the underside of the leaf, depositing an ova (egg). Monarchs will only use milkweed as a host plant.
What else?
See who else is growing Asclepias syriaca Common Milkweed.
See who else has plants in genus Asclepias.
