I have had an obsevation sent to me very kindly by Terry Tasker to correctly name this plant. It was purchased off the ebay site some time ago now and was labeled as "Midnight Magic".
I have corrected the name to: B."Black Night".

This plant has recovered, there is a picture of it in my collection of photo's with new growth on - lovely plant.

This one looks terrible, the end of the leaves all withered and dead looking. However there does seem to be some life coming at the centre of the plant, so i will cut off the dead and repot into fresh compost (and hope for the best). Quite a dark leaf, too dark for the display. But the darker plants can be just as beautiful in a class on their own, in my opinion.
