Root cuttings

First attempt at root cuttings. I dug up one of my oriental poppies, snipped 5 pieces of root. Hey presto they have all come up. Although one is smaller than the others.

Cant really remember, a two/three of months ago. I watched Carol Klein on Gardeners World do it, then gave it a go. I kept them outside behind the green house and kept checking them. I was really surprised to see the magic work.
I shouldnt be surprised really, as all the books and all the experts tell you how to do it. But it is good when things happen for you on the first attempt.
