Frozen border this morning.

Frost can add a sort of "magical" quality to our gardens.

There was no frost on the roofs of the houses across the road from us this morning though temps were down to just 1C for the first few daylight hours this morning.

However I did see some tiny patches of frost on cut grass near our flat when I walked down to town about 10.30am.

You do have some lovely shrubs, Julia, and the frost creates different shades to them, really lovely.

Ditto from me 😊

Your shrub bed looks well-manicured and really lovely. We've had frosts here, and on our walk by the river this morning it was really cold, so we went and had a coffee in the tearooms.

They should be o.k. Meadowland. We live in Derbyshire and get some low temperatures here and the Hebes here seem to survive the winters o.k.

I don't grow Hebes on the balcony but I know of lots of them all over town & some not more than a minutes walk from here that have been in place for more years than I can remember! None of them have ever been affected by frost - not even when we had -8C in 2010 a couple of days in a row!
