Old fashion peony

I like these more simply shaped flowers.

Nice and open for the pollinators too..

I have one my son gave me last year, I thought it was going to flower again this year as I had seen what I thought were buds in the tips of a couple of leaves but if they were buds then they have died because there is no sign of any now. 🙁
