Mexican Officer, doves and pigeons (Peace and war)

When I see a mean looking "officer" with a mean looking gun like this I know that it is best to find quick way to leave the area. As I can be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Reality is that there is still lots of violence and drug wars all over Mexico.

There were several of these guys in that neighbourhood at that time, so something was going on but we did not stay long enough to find out. Drove home and had a margarita by the pool. We feel very safe in the community where we live.

Just over Mexico, Klahanie? I think it is all over the world. And it always starts as intelligence and diplomatic "activity". Those should be hanged first.

Sadly here in Mexico, drug cartels run the country . They are very brutal. They "own" the government, police, judicial system, business.....you name it. So far all the efforts to clean it up failed.

Drug cartels have their structure. You would be maybe surprised, whom you find on the top of pyramid.

PS I think, you are wrong. They do not own government, lawyers and police. They need them to survive. If those stay clean, they would never succeed. It is the same all over the world.

The like is for the birds,Klahanie,,not the "Officer" ! We are aware of all the drugs and violence in Mexico too..Maybe he was eyeing one up for dinner? or maybe not! He looks a really scary guy,whatever his intentions...
