It is. Attractive to unknown critters too - see the dead bits? A whole stem has been chewed through!!

The bugs must love the taste of it.
It looks very good, though.

It was cut through on the woody bit so mice maybe?
Is it not grown in SoCal?

Very frustrating Amy. But that's life..............

It has been a most frustrating year, despite the lovely hot weather, we have had more nasties than ever, found a mass of greenfly one some new tasty rose shoots, and then whitefly all over the fuchsias......

Greenfly wasn't too much of an issue, but whitefly! Never seen so many!
Worse still, I have a few tender plants that have been outdoors all summer and they are affected by RSM. I had just about got rid of it all. I will have to allow them to get far closer to freezing than I would like before they can come in for the winter.

Meanie:
It will grow throughout most of California.

I did wonder if SoCal would be too dry...................
