New pond

We've done a bit more to the new pond this weekend. We've put in some hardware - waterfalls which the fish love to swim under, a fountain and some rocks. Then two water lilies, a red one and a yellow one. Just need to get some more plants...oh dear, ANOTHER trip to the garden centre - heaven! ;-)

Love your pond, would you mind telling me how you made it? I would like a rectangular pond for my patio.

Made from decking boards, supported on a wooden frame. Insulated with polystyrene sheets lined with pond liner, then decking boards to make the top. We have supported it on bricks on our concrete patio just outside the conservatory. It's very sturdy and heavy, even when empty. The fish are loving it. The water lillies we put in about 3 or 4 weeks ago are flourishing. We just need to get some marginals and 'Bobs-your-uncle'!
